This report is based on the latest iteration of the WPPL Assessment Framework, which aims to identify key barriers and opportunities to advance WPPL that exist at the sociocultural, institutional, and individual levels. The findings and recommendations are intended to guide the relevant stakeholders’ program strategies, activity design, and allocation of resources aimed at advancing WPPL in Tanzania. The assessment findings discussed in this report are derived from a desk review, a survey of 119 politicians, 20 key informant interviews (KIIs), and eight focus group discussions (FGDs) with politicians, civil society, and media in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar conducted between April and June of 2023.
